Data engineer

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong SQL, SSIS and ETL expertise to join a Compliance Technology environment within a leading financial services organisation.

Key Responsible: Develop and enhance SQL scripts, queries and database logic to support business requirements. Develop, modify and maintain SSIS packages and ETL workflows . Perform data integration across multiple source systems. Optimise SQL queries, ETL processes and database performance. Support data modelling, schema enhancements and data transformation. Develop and enhance operational reports and dashboards. Perform data validation, reconciliation and data quality checks. Investigate and resolve data, ETL and production issues. Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Monitor and support batch processes and scheduled jobs. Support SIT/UAT, deployments and production releases. Assist with data remediation, governance and compliance-related initiatives. Contribute to continuous improvement, process automation and optimisation. Key Requirements: 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering / ETL / SQL development . Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server . Strong SSIS development experience. Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration . Experience with database performance tuning and query optimisation. Experience with data warehousing and data modelling . Experience troubleshooting production data and ETL issues. Experience working with SIT/UAT and production deployments . Strong understanding of data quality, validation and reconciliation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Advantageous: Experience within banking or financial services . Experience with AML / Compliance data platforms . Exposure to NICE Actimize . Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) . Experience with Microsoft Purview and data governance. Exposure to regulatory reporting and data remediation. Experience with Dev Ops and CI/CD processes.
