Data Engineer Product

You will own the data platform end to end. You will build and operate pipelines for product and AI data, design models and semantic layers, protect sensitive information, improve data quality, and create tracking, dashboards, and reporting with product managers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate pipelines that transform product event logs and API usage data into analysis-ready data
• Design data models for product and business metrics and build an AI-ready semantic layer
• Transfer and store LLM inference logs and user interaction data securely and efficiently
• Design and implement anonymized information compliant with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information
• Lead data quality and observability
• Design tracking and create dashboards and reporting with product managers and engineers
• Collaborate in Japanese and English

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on data engineering or analytics engineering experience in large-scale production environments
• SQL
• Data modeling
• Data pipeline design accounting for regulations, privacy laws, and ZDR
• Google Cloud
• Data warehouse operations with BigQuery, Databricks, or Snowflake
• Airflow
• dbt
• Terraform
• Docker
• Understanding of LLM principles
• English communication
