We're partnering with Fuel Talent / SumerSports to find a talented Data Engineer to join a fast-growing, data-driven team working at the intersection of sports, analytics, and technology.

Occasional travel may be required.

What You'll Do:

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Airflow, or Dagster
  • Develop ETL/ELT workflows with Python and SQL
  • Partner with ML and AI teams to deliver high-quality datasets
  • Work with modern lakehouse technologies such as Delta, Parquet, and Iceberg
  • Implement orchestration, monitoring, and data quality frameworks
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and cost across data platforms

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • Strong Python and SQL skills
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, or similar big-data technologies
  • Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or Luigi experience
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and distributed systems
  • Experience working with analytics, product, or ML teams

Nice to Have:

  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • Sports analytics, telemetry, or sensor data experience
  • Interest in American Football, NFL, or College Football
