Data Engineer Python - FinTech

Summary

Builds scalable data pipelines and cloud-based analytics for a FinTech client using Python, APIs, and LLMs to deliver business insights.

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for a highly technical Data Engineer with experience in FinTech or finance
  • We need strong commercial data engineering experience, including building scalable data pipelines
  • We require strong Python coding ability; TypeScript experience is preferred, or willingness to learn it
  • We need a good understanding of APIs
  • We want experience using LLMs to create business value
  • We require experience working in cloud environments, with Azure preferred
  • We are looking for a collaborative person with advanced communication skills
  • We require a BSc degree in a STEM discipline from a Russell Group university
Responsibilities:
  • We build scalable data pipelines to support our private equities and alternative investment management platform
  • We improve, create and maintain data ingest pipelines for receiving data from fund administrators
  • We work primarily with Python, TypeScript and APIs in an Azure cloud environment
  • We collaborate with the wider engineering team to promote good data and strong data architecture
  • We stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
