Are you a technologist Data Engineer who enjoys problem solving and working on complex systems?

As a Data Engineer you will help build the cloud-native data platform that powers next generation AI and machine learning products. Working at the intersection of data engineering, cloud infrastructure and AI, you'll design scalable pipelines and platforms capable of processing billions of records, ensuring reliable, high-quality data flows from ingestion through to production ML models.

You'll develop and optimise modern ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses and workflow orchestration, collaborating closely with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers and Software Engineers to deliver robust, scalable and cost-efficient solutions. This is an opportunity to influence the architecture of a growing AI platform, working with technologies including Python, Apache Airflow, SQL/NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Google Cloud Platform.

Location / WFH:

You can work from home most of the time, joining colleagues in The Hague office twice a week.

About you:

  • You have a BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related field
  • You have strong Python programming skills
  • You have experience with data pipelines (ETL / ELT) and workflow orchestrators such as Apache Airflow
  • You have a strong knowledge of data warehousing and database systems (SQL and NoSQL), including data modelling and schema design
  • You're familiar with streaming data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub)
  • You have experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP or AWS preferred)
  • You have experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • You're proficient with CI/CD and have a working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • You're collaborative with fluent English language skills
  • Please note: you must have full right to work in The Netherlands without highly skilled migrant visa
