Data Engineer
Summary
Data Engineer designing, building, and maintaining business-critical data pipelines, APIs, and ETL/reporting solutions on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, Docker), helping migrate a client from legacy platforms to a modern cloud-native data ecosystem.
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer to work with business-critical data flows, reporting solutions, and modern cloud-based data platforms. The client is undergoing a major transformation from legacy platforms to a modern cloud-native data ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The role involves technical design, development, implementation, modernization, and maintenance of data solutions.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another relevant field .
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud & Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable cloud-based data solutions, modern data pipelines, APIs, and ETL processes using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker.
Architecture & Stakeholder Collaboration: Bridge legacy systems with modern cloud-native architectures by translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to support CI/CD, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Software development and data engineering.
- Hands-on experience with GCP or similar cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Python , Big Query , and SQL .
- Experience with Data form , Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker.
- Understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Warehouse and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with ETL processes and data modelling, such as dimensional modelling or Data Vault.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD .
- Experience with GitLab .
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code , such as Terraform .
