Data Engineer
Summary
Senior Data Engineer builds and optimizes ETL pipelines, cloud data infrastructure, and Python apps to process millions of music-industry records daily using AWS, Snowflake, Spark, and Airflow.
At Ryz Labs we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join one of our clients' teams, a growing technology team building data products for the music and entertainment industry. You will work with large-scale datasets and help design reliable data infrastructure that turns complex data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Build and optimize ETL/data pipelines processing millions of records daily.
- Design scalable data ingestion systems integrating streaming platforms, social media, and other data sources.
- Architect and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure.
- Develop production-ready Python applications and complex PostgreSQL queries.
- Work with technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, ClickHouse, Elasticsearch, Spark, and Airflow.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists and other teams to transform raw data into useful business insights.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of existing data systems.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building and maintaining production data systems.
- Strong experience with Python and PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow, ClickHouse, Snowflake, Elasticsearch, Apache Spark, and AWS.
- Experience designing high-throughput, fault-tolerant data pipelines.
- Ability to work with large-scale datasets and distributed systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
