The Finnish Cancer Registry is seeking a Data Engineer for a permanent position to support Finnish cancer research. The primary responsibility is the management of the registry's data and data flows, as well as the maintenance and development of backend systems and software. The specific scope of the role will be further defined based on the selected candidate's expertise and interests.

Requirements
- At least four years of relevant work experience
- Expertise in data processing, databases (PostgreSQL), data pipelines (SQL and Python)
- ETL/ELT processes and tools (e.g., Apache Hop)
- Basic knowledge of version control (e.g., Git)
- Interest in utilizing AI for data pipeline development, analytics, or automation, specifically with tools like Claude Code and Copilot
- Adherence to data security and privacy practices
- A suitable technical degree
- Proficiency in Finnish and English
