Summary

Builds and optimizes ELT pipelines in Databricks using Python, PySpark, and SQL to modernize a cloud-based data platform for AI-driven analytics.

Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience with Databricks, SQL, Python and PySpark
  • Experience building and optimising ELT and data pipelines
  • Experience with data modelling, lakehouse architecture and modern data platforms
  • Experience with Azure data services
  • Experience with API and third-party system integration
  • Experience with data quality, governance, metadata and lineage
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD and engineering best practices
Responsibilities:
  • Shape how data is structured, governed and consumed across the business
  • Design scalable data models
  • Build robust ELT pipelines in Databricks using SQL, Python and PySpark
  • Integrate data from multiple internal and third-party systems
  • Collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers to ensure data is reliable, well-governed and ready for business intelligence, automation and AI-powered solutions
  • Challenge existing approaches and improve platform architecture
  • Help define long-term data standards
