Data Engineer / Tech Lead

• Rate: up to 200 pln/h net +VAT

  Business travel: Occasional, up to once per quarter (e.g., onboarding sessions or workshops)

About the Role

This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a Data Engineer Tech Lead who thrives in a hands-on role while providing technical leadership. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining a central data storage and processing layer, ensuring standards are high and the platform evolves effectively.

Main Responsibilities

Core responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing data pipelines for reliable and efficient data flows.

• Ensuring data availability and security in the central storage layer.

• Collaborating with data stakeholders to support data-driven initiatives.

• Implementing best practices in development, testing, and deployment.

• Optimizing use of AWS services for data management and performance.

• Contributing to Generative AI projects through effective data management.

• Troubleshooting issues across data pipelines.

Key Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.

• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services including S3, Glue, and Lambda.

• Solid understanding of databases and data processing pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with software engineering best practices.

• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies.

• Strong problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment.

• Proven ability to lead architectural design and initiatives.

• Experience mentoring engineers in a hands-on manner.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of data orchestration tools and frameworks.

• Experience working with Content Management Systems.

• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.

• Exposure to cost management strategies in cloud environments.
