Data Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes clusters for clients using AWS/Azure/GCP, Terraform, and Docker.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and deployments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to streamline build, deployment, and release processes.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
- Implement best practices for infrastructure reliability, cost optimization, and scalability.
- Ensure security and compliance for cloud workloads, including secrets management and access control.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and infrastructure‑related issues with minimal downtime.
- Support Agile/Scrum development cycles and participate in sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
- Maintain documentation for DevOps processes, infrastructure, and automation workflows.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging tools and technologies to improve DevOps efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7+ years of hands‑on experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Expertise with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.
- Hands‑on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Strong understanding of IaC tools—Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Good understanding of networking, Linux systems, and security practices.
- Ability to work in fast‑paced environments and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Certifications like AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, CKA, CKAD are a plus.
