Data Engineer
Salary: £30,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience delivering production-grade data engineering solutions
- Strong Azure data platform expertise, including Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, and Synapse Analytics
- Advanced SQL skills, including data modelling and optimisation
- Experience using Python for data processing and automation
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD practices, and Agile delivery methods
- Understanding of data governance, quality, and compliance frameworks
- Ability to manage priorities, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Desirable: experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Dataflows Gen2, and Real-Time Analytics
- Desirable: experience with Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake
- Desirable: experience with dbt
- Desirable: experience within healthcare, social care, or other regulated environments
- Design and build end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines
- Develop scalable data models and optimised SQL transformations
- Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance
- Deliver technical data projects from concept to production
- Enhance our Azure data platform using Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL
- Implement data security and governance controls
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party partners
