Requirements:
  • Proven experience delivering production-grade data engineering solutions
  • Strong Azure data platform expertise, including Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Azure SQL, and Synapse Analytics
  • Advanced SQL skills, including data modelling and optimisation
  • Experience using Python for data processing and automation
  • Knowledge of Git, CI/CD practices, and Agile delivery methods
  • Understanding of data governance, quality, and compliance frameworks
  • Ability to manage priorities, solve complex problems, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Desirable: experience with Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Dataflows Gen2, and Real-Time Analytics
  • Desirable: experience with Databricks, PySpark, and Delta Lake
  • Desirable: experience with dbt
  • Desirable: experience within healthcare, social care, or other regulated environments
Responsibilities:
  • Design and build end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Develop scalable data models and optimised SQL transformations
  • Monitor and improve data quality, reliability, and performance
  • Deliver technical data projects from concept to production
  • Enhance our Azure data platform using Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL
  • Implement data security and governance controls
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party partners
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and data standards
