Data Engineer
Summary
WAMO Labs in Lahore is hiring an early-career Data Engineer to build, maintain, and troubleshoot data pipelines, clean and integrate data from multiple sources, and support data warehousing, governance, and compliance. Core tools include SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT, with exposure to Airflow, dbt, Spark, and cloud platforms.
This role is designed for fresh graduates and early-career professionals with a strong foundation in SQL, Python, databases, and data engineering concepts. You’ll work on real-world projects, build reliable data pipelines, improve data quality, and support data governance and compliance initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to data-driven products and solutions, and continuously strengthen your technical and analytical skills using modern data engineering practices.
What you'll do
- Build, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot reliable data pipelines and data-quality issues.
- Clean, transform, validate, and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Strong understanding of SQL and Python.
- Support data warehouse design, development, and maintenance using knowledge of databases, data structures, and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Support data governance through documentation, lineage, quality standards, access controls, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Exposure to Airflow, dbt, Spark, or data governance tools.
- Ensure data processes align with organizational policies, security standards, and applicable regulations.
What we're looking for
- Familiarity with Git and version-control practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or PowerBI is a plus
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail.
- Immediate joiners would be preferred.
