The company:

Our client is an established technology company with a strong pipeline of exciting projects, creating growing demand for experienced Data Engineers with strong Databricks capability.

They’re looking for an experienced Data Engineers who want to put their Databricks expertise to work while gaining exposure to a broader modern data stack, including Microsoft Fabric and Azure.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work on interesting, complex data projects, backed by experienced architects and consultants around you.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and building modern data platforms across Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and Azure
• Developing data pipelines, transformation and modelling solutions using Python, SQL and Spark/PySpark
• Working with lakehouse and medallion architectures across complex customer environments
• Taking ownership of technical workstreams and working directly with customers, architects and other engineers
• Contributing to engineering standards and best practice while supporting and mentoring others in the team

What we're looking for

• 3+ years strong commercial Data Engineering experience with hands-on Databricks expertise
• Strong Python and SQL, with experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
• Experience working with lakehouse architecture and modern cloud data platforms
• Good knowledge of Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with Spark/PySpark, dbt, Power BI, Snowflake, Purview, CI/CD, Terraform or Bicep would be useful.
