Data Engineering Intern - AI Pipelines & Data Quality
Summary
Build and maintain data pipelines for an AI platform, ensuring data quality, governance, and compliance while integrating enterprise systems like Salesforce and Oracle.
Your Role
Here’s what you will be doing:
- Design and build data pipelines into the AI platform.
- Ensure data quality through validation, cleaning, deduplication, and anomaly detection.
- Build the data layer for practice management agents, including financial, staffing, skills, and compliance data.
- Implement data access controls aligned with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure authorized data access.
- Monitor data freshness and pipeline health, alerting when source data is stale or pipelines fail.
- Manage data retention and deletion in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and firm policies.
About You
The company is looking for:
- Final year students or fresh graduates from reputable universities, majoring in Engineering, Computer/Technology sciences, or related fields.
- A minimum GPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
- Added value for skills in data science, technology-related fields, or relevant certifications.
- Availability to join full-time at the Yogyakarta Office for a minimum of 3 months.
- Data engineering experience.
- Strong Python and SQL skills.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Azure data services including Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, and Cosmos DB.
- API integration experience consuming REST APIs from enterprise systems like Oracle, Salesforce, or Workday.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and monitoring.
- Understanding of data governance, access control, and privacy requirements.
- Preferred knowledge of PDPA/data privacy regulations, Microsoft Graph API, and familiarity with vector databases and embedding pipelines.
