Data Engineering Intern - AI Pipelines & Data Quality

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Design and build data pipelines into the AI platform.
• Ensure data quality through validation, cleaning, deduplication, and anomaly detection.
• Build the data layer for practice management agents, including financial, staffing, skills, and compliance data.
• Implement data access controls aligned with Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure authorized data access.
• Monitor data freshness and pipeline health, alerting when source data is stale or pipelines fail.
• Manage data retention and deletion in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and firm policies.

About You

The company is looking for:

• Final year students or fresh graduates from reputable universities, majoring in Engineering, Computer/Technology sciences, or related fields.
• A minimum GPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Knowledge of business process improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Added value for skills in data science, technology-related fields, or relevant certifications.
• Availability to join full-time at the Yogyakarta Office for a minimum of 3 months.
• Data engineering experience.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure data services including Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory, and Cosmos DB.
• API integration experience consuming REST APIs from enterprise systems like Oracle, Salesforce, or Workday.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks and monitoring.
• Understanding of data governance, access control, and privacy requirements.
• Preferred knowledge of PDPA/data privacy regulations, Microsoft Graph API, and familiarity with vector databases and embedding pipelines.
