Experienced Data Engineering Lead with expertise in leading large-scale banking data migration and modernization projects. Proven track record in designing and delivering end-to-end data migration strategies, building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensuring seamless migration from legacy banking systems to modern cloud-based data platforms. Strong background in stakeholder management, solution architecture, data governance, and leading cross-functional engineering teams to deliver secure, high-quality data solutions within regulatory and compliance requirements.
Key responsibilities
Lead end-to-end data engineering activities for banking transformation and migration projects.
Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for migrating data from legacy core banking systems to modern cloud platforms.
Define migration strategies, including data mapping, profiling, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, business analysts, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Establish data quality, governance, security, and regulatory compliance throughout the migration lifecycle.
Develop and optimize data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support reporting and analytics.
Lead a team of data engineers by providing technical guidance, code reviews, mentoring, and best practices.
Ensure high availability, performance optimization, and scalability of data pipelines.
Coordinate SIT, UAT, production deployment, and post-migration validation activities.
Manage project risks, issue resolution, resource planning, and delivery timelines.
