Key Responsibilities
- People & Team Leadership: Mentor, coach, and grow a team of Data Engineers and Architects across distributed project pods. Drive performance management, professional growth, and team retention.
- Strategic Technical Guidance: Provide conceptual and strategic direction for data platforms (SQL, Python, Spark, AWS/Azure, CI/CD), ensuring high-quality and resilient delivery.
- International Stakeholder Partnership: Build direct, trusted relationships with UK business stakeholders, aligning team development with technical roadmaps and business strategy.
- Engineering Culture: Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, modern data engineering best practices, and continuous learning. Actively participate in problem solving.
what we expect
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of experience leading technical teams in Data Engineering or Data Platform domains.
- Solid Technical Background: Hands‑on experience as a former Data Engineer or Data Architect, with strong conceptual mastery of SQL, Python, Spark, Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), and CI/CD / DevOps practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record of collaborating with cross‑functional, multinational teams.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Polish is required (both written and spoken).
- Language & Location: Fluent English (C1 level) and readiness to work in a hybrid setup in Warsaw (Gdański Business Center).
