Responsibilities- Define and execute a strategic vision for data engineering aligned with business goals
- Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to prioritize the technical roadmap
- Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable, reliable data pipelines and infrastructure
- Establish and enforce best practices for data quality, privacy, security, and HIPAA compliance
- Build, grow, and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers
- Drive the successful execution of data engineering projects including planning and resource allocation
- 5+ years in Data or Software Engineering
- 2+ years in Data Engineering leadership roles
- Hands-on expertise with DBT, Airflow, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience building and supporting Data Warehouse solutions
- Experience working in a HIPAA regulated environment or similar regulated industry
- Strong drive for automated testing and test-based development
- Proven track record of delivering complex software projects
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as FHIR or OHDSI
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field
