Data Engineering

In this role you design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for financial, climate, and ESG datasets, partnering with the Climate Risk modeling team. You will deploy and automate production pipelines using Snowflake, Dagster, and SQL, while upholding robust engineering standards. You’ll work in an agile, cross-functional environment to continuously improve code, documentation, and deployment processes. This position offers the chance to shape data-driven sustainability initiatives and drive impact for clients in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

• Design, build and maintain production data pipelines for financial, climate, and ESG data at scale using Snowflake, Dagster, and SQL
• Collaborate with Climate Risk modeling team to integrate advanced economic models into production; automate deployments with GitHub
• Enforce coding, testing, and documentation standards; review and evolve the codebase
• Participate in an agile workflow and cross-functional collaboration with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders

• Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, quantitative methods or related field
• Production-level data pipeline development and maintenance experience
• Strong Python for production-ready code
• Strong SQL with PostgreSQL or Snowflake experience
• Substantial AWS experience (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS)
• Familiarity with Dagster and DBT (or willingness to learn)
• Automation focus with Docker, shell scripting, and CI/CD
• Knowledge of software engineering practices across the lifecycle; agile methods, code reviews, version control, testing, deployment
