OVERVIEW OF THE ROLEWe are seeking hands-on Data Engineers to design, build, and scale data pipelines within a complex, Azure-based healthcare environment. These roles are delivery-focused and critical to enabling interoperability, analytics, and AI/ML use cases across diverse data sources.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure services such as ADF, Databricks, Synapse, and Microsoft FabricIntegrate data from multiple complex sources, including APIs, databases, flat files, and streaming platformsProcess and optimize large-scale datasets for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiencyImplement robust data quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks within pipelinesCollaborate with architects, business analysts, and developers in Agile delivery teamsEnsure data security, privacy, and governance standards are applied in regulated environmentsEnable downstream data consumption for:Analytics and reporting platformsOperational systemsAI/ML workloadsSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE ROLE:Required Skills & ExperienceStrong hands-on experience with Azure data services:Azure Data Factory (ADF)DatabricksSynapse Analytics / FabricProficiency in Python and SQLExperience with distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark)Proven track record handling large, complex datasetsExperience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelinesUnderstanding of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT designFamiliarity with data governance, security, and compliance practicesExperience working in Agile environmentsPreferred skills & Experience Experience with healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7)Exposure to real-time or event-driven architectures:Event Hub, Kafka, or similar technologiesFamiliarity with data lakehouse architecturesExperience supporting AI/ML pipelines and feature engineeringExperience exposing data via APIs or data servicesCertification in Azure or other relevant technologies …AND YOU ARE...Strong builder mindset — comfortable owning pipelines end-to-endPragmatic problem solver who can work with messy, real-world dataAble to balance speed of delivery with quality and governanceEffective collaborator across technical and business teamsComfortable working in a regulated, healthcare-focused environmentEnergized by our company values!
