Americare Pharmacy Solutions is looking for a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join our Cookeville, TN pharmacy team. This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, accurate, comfortable working with computers and enjoys helping customers and healthcare partners.

What You'll Do
As a Pharmacy Data Entry Technician, you'll work under the direction of a licensed pharmacist and help process medication orders while providing excellent service to the communities we support.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Enter and process prescription and medication orders accurately
- Review incoming orders and patient information for completeness
- Assist pharmacists with order entry and prescription processing
- Maintain accurate patient, prescription and pharmacy records
- Communicate with senior living and long-term care partners regarding medication orders, questions and updates
- Provide responsive and professional customer service by phone and electronically
- Assist with preparing, packaging and labeling medications when needed and under pharmacist supervision
- Help identify missing or unclear information and escalate questions appropriately
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow applicable HIPAA requirements
- Work closely with pharmacists, technicians and other team members to keep orders moving efficiently
- Learn and use pharmacy technology and systems provided by Americare
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Tennessee Pharmacy Technician registration required
- PTCB certification required, or equivalent certification as applicable
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to learn new pharmacy systems and processes
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and medical information
- Pharmacy, healthcare, data entry or customer service experience is helpful
