Data & Exams Admin Support Assistant Apprentice

Alsop High School is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join its busy administration team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong IT skills, confidence using Excel, and experience working with databases or CRM systems who is looking to gain a recognised Level 3 qualification in School Business Administration. The role will provide hands-on experience supporting the school's exams and data processes, offering a fantastic pathway for someone looking to develop a long-term career in school administration.


Working week

Monday to Friday - Term time plus 15 additional days to support the KS4 and KS5 results

37 hours per week total

Daily hours to be confirmed.


Wage

£12.71 per hour

School Business Administrator Level 3

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To work with the Data and MIS Manager on all aspects of student data.
  • To assist with the uploading of data on Academy achievement reporting system SISRA.
  • To assist with collecting data for the schools assessment entry system on BromCom.
  • To support on all aspects of student reporting e.g. progress monitoring sheets after each AP point.
  • To ensure that the school complies with the regulations of the Data Protection Act.
  • To support the school exam entry systems.
  • To assist with periodic cleansing of data on SISRA.
  • To assist with retrieving prior data on students using keys to success website.
  • To assist with keeping course manager up to date throughout the year.


Examinations

  • Support with whole school internal and external exams.
  • Support with the examination processes as detailed below.
  • Dissemination of results to staff, students and parents.
  • Reading in result files.
  • Organisation of seating plans.



Assessment, Reporting and Recording

  • To assist with the distribution of student attainment data: report grades, examination results, gender information, student groups for use in target setting, prior attainment information, Ofsted analysis, etc.
  • To assist in producing and importing student targets for KS3 and KS4 in line with the academy target setting procedure.



Student Data

  • To input data for new intake and any new starters.
  • To update any in year student information changes.
  • Produce Data collection sheets prior to Parents Evening for each year group.
  • To assist with the administration of year 9 guided choices process.



Timetable

  • Update and apply periodic and casual changes to timetables, courses, teachers, and
    rooms.
  • Ensure accuracy of pupil data form groups/class groups and year groups.
  • To understand and set up banding changes and procedures.
  • Maintain and check course information sheets alongside course manager information.
  • Print timetables prior to new academic year and when/if there are changes.

    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
    • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
  • Desirable:
    • Basic understanding of data protection principles and GDPR
    • Experience of producing reports from a database or information system
    • Interest in data analysis and data management



Education and Qualifications

Maths and English at GCSE level A-C (4-9) or Functional Skills equivalent.
