Data Governance Analyst
Summary
Data Governance Analyst responsible for executing secure data deletion plans, maintaining metadata and data inventories across Data Lake environments, and validating control implementations in Vienna.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of Enterprise Data Governance Services plans for secure and permanent data deletion.
- Collaborate with business, technology, data, security, and governance stakeholders to develop and implement data deletion controls and processes.
- Ensure data deletion processes align with established data governance, security, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that data deletion controls are properly implemented and operating effectively.
- Identify control gaps, risks, and emerging organizational requirements and recommend appropriate improvements.
- Conduct dataset discovery and inventory across Data Lake zones.
- Maintain accurate metadata, data inventories, and documentation.
- Analyze datasets and data flows to support data retention and deletion requirements.
- Prepare project documentation, status updates, testing results, and governance reports.
- Coordinate project activities and communicate progress, risks, issues, and dependencies to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in data analysis, data governance, or data management.
- Experience supporting data deletion, data retention, data lifecycle management, or related governance controls.
- Strong understanding of Data Lake environments and metadata management.
- Experience developing and executing test plans and control validation activities.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across business, technical, security, risk, and data teams.
