Masaba is seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative Data Governance Analyst to improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our business data. As our company grows, this position will help ensure our employees have information they can trust to support daily operations and business decisions.
You will work closely with sales, engineering, purchasing, operations, finance, and IT to establish data standards, resolve data issues, and improve how information flows through our ERP and other business systems. Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain standards for how business data is created, updated, and used.
- Identify and coordinate the correction of incomplete, duplicate, inconsistent, or outdated records.
- Work with department leaders to define data ownership and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain a data dictionary documenting key business terms, fields, and definitions.
- Create data-quality measurements and reports to track accuracy and improvement.
- Serve as a business-side resource for ERP data, processes, and reporting.
- Gather employee feedback and business requirements for system and process improvements.
- Partner with IT, our ERP specialist, and software providers to support testing and implementation of system enhancements.
- Develop reports and analytical tools that support reliable business decisions.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual data entry, redundant spreadsheets, and unnecessary work.
- Document procedures and help train employees on data standards and best practices.
- Support the accuracy and consistency of pricing and other critical business information.
