Want to build a career in Data? This is the perfect opportunity to get hands on experience and to help you step into the world of data governance and analytics. Where you will be working across teams in the business to improve how data is understood, managed and used. Whether you're a graduate or have a few years experience, we're looking for you!
You’ll play a key role in improving data literacy across the business, helping to deliver engaging training sessions that build confidence and capability in the way teams use data. Working closely with business groups to help understand what data they rely on, where it comes from, how it's used as well as any concerns you may have with their data quality to help build and create a data catalogue. You will also help identify and document data lineage, creating a clear picture of how data flows across systems and process.
Alongside this, you’ll also have access to snowflake and Power BI where you will also be assisting with queries around the data, maintaining the data definition and dictionary.
What you do:
- Deliver and support data literacy sessions across the business, helping teams build confidence in using data.
- Work with stakeholders to identify and document Critical Data Elements, data definitions, and data quality requirements.
- Build and maintain the organisation's data catalogue, data dictionary, and governance documentation.
- Identify and document data lineage, mapping how data flows across systems and processes.
- Support Snowflake and Power BI by assisting with user access requests and data-related queries.
- Prepare governance documentation and packs, turning stakeholder discussions into clear, structured information that supports better decision-making.
We're looking for a confident communicator who enjoys asking questions, building relationships, and following up to uncover the right information. You'll also be highly organised and enjoy creating and maintaining clear, accurate documentation.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
- A curious mindset and willingness to ask questions, investigate, and follow up to gather the right information.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
- The ability to translate conversations and complex information into clear, structured documentation.
- An interest in data, analytics, and how information supports better business decisions.
- Previous exposure to data, reporting, governance, Power BI, or Snowflake is advantageous, but not essential. We can teach you this.
