Experience curating data: writing business definitions, tagging assets, assigning owners, and mapping data lineage.
Understanding of metadata management and how data flows across systems.
A practical understanding of data governance concepts, including data ownership, stewardship, quality, lineage, metadata and controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess information, identify issues and recommend practical actions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain governance requirements clearly to different audiences.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and confidence working collaboratively across business and technology teams.
High attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and produce clear, well-structured documentation.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, follow-up actions and deadlines.
A proactive, curious and improvement-focused mindset, with a willingness to learn and take ownership of outcomes.
Experience with Microsoft 365 tools; exposure to data cataloguing, governance, reporting or workflow platforms (preferably Collibra) would be advantageous.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications in data, information management, technology, risk or a related field would be desirable.
