Summary

Leads data governance and quality initiatives to establish policies, metrics, and processes ensuring data reliability, compliance (LGPD), and cost optimization in cloud/on-premise environments. Works with stakeholders to resolve complex data challenges and mentor professionals.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Governance Analyst | Senior based in Brazil.

This is an opportunity for a senior data professional to lead the implementation and continuous improvement of data governance and quality practices.
You will help establish policies, controls, metrics, and processes that strengthen data reliability across the organization.
The role combines data governance, security, compliance, architecture, and cost optimization in cloud and on-premise environments.
You will work closely with both technical and business stakeholders to solve complex problems and drive strategic initiatives.
Your expertise will contribute to better decision-making, regulatory compliance, and more efficient use of data and technology resources.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of data governance policies, processes, standards, and controls.
  • Define metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor data quality and governance performance.
  • Monitor data integrity, consistency, accuracy, completeness, and reliability, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Support data security, LGPD, privacy, and regulatory compliance initiatives, ensuring appropriate controls and governance practices.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize technology and data-related costs across cloud and on-premise environments, applying FinOps principles.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation covering data policies, governance guidelines, controls, standards, and requirements.
  • Support strategic data initiatives by contributing to technical decisions, prioritization, planning, and solution design.
  • Analyze and resolve complex data-related challenges, developing sustainable solutions in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment between technical and business teams, helping build consensus around data policies, priorities, and solutions.
  • Promote data governance best practices and contribute to the continuous evolution of the organization’s data management maturity.
  • Share knowledge and mentor less experienced professionals, encouraging consistent adoption of governance and data quality practices.
  • Requirements

    • Solid professional experience in Data Governance and Data Quality, with a strong understanding of governance frameworks, policies, controls, and data management practices.
    • Knowledge of data security, LGPD, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
    • Experience with FinOps and cost optimization across cloud and/or on-premise environments.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL and programming, with the ability to analyze data and support technical problem-solving.
    • Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases.
    • Knowledge of code versioning and software development best practices.
    • Experience with Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Lakehouse architectures, understanding their different use cases and governance implications.
    • Ability to work autonomously when analyzing complex problems and designing practical, scalable solutions.
    • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to assess risks, identify root causes, and prioritize improvements.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business discussions.
    • Collaborative mindset and ability to build alignment across technical and non-technical teams.
