Requirements:
  • Demonstrated data governance expertise
  • Strong data quality analysis skills
  • Proven stakeholder partnership skills
  • Experience working within data governance, data management or data quality environments
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends, issues and root causes
  • Knowledge of data management tools, ideally Collibra, including glossary and classification management
  • Experience working with insurance or financial services data would be advantageous
  • Ability to interrogate and profile data, with SQL skills highly desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to engage with audiences at all levels
  • Good understanding of data governance, data security, privacy and information lifecycle principles
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving data quality and driving best practice across the business
Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Data Governance Framework to strengthen data quality, integrity and business value
  • Analyse data processes and work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to identify and resolve data quality issues at source
  • Conduct data profiling and implement data quality controls to improve the accuracy and reliability of business data
  • Produce data quality reporting and dashboards, highlighting risks and supporting governance decision-making
  • Coordinate and support data governance forums, including preparing packs, recording actions and tracking outcomes
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders across the business to promote good data management practices
  • Champion data governance standards and support colleagues in embedding governance requirements within their areas
  • Maintain data catalogues, business glossaries and data dictionaries to improve understanding and accessibility of data assets
  • Support the governance of information assets through classification, retention and lifecycle management activities
  • Contribute to the development of a strong data culture by promoting best practice and continuous improvement across the organisation
