Job Description
Job title: Data Governance Consultant (Part-Time)
Location: Brussels, hybrid
Duration: 6 months, part-time (2-3 days per week). Reports to the Data Quality Manager (Data Management Office).
Role Objectives
Support company’s Data Governance and Data Quality programme, based on the DCAM framework (EDM Council), by enabling the creation, validation, and rollout of DCAM artefacts and executing the related communication and literacy plans.
Guide and advise on the practical rollout of Data Governance, bringing best practices and hands-on experience on how to organise, implement, and embed Data Governance across the organisation.
Role Responsibilities
Organise and actively participate in workshops with business units to gather and document inputs for DCAM artefacts across data domains.
Validate that artefacts meet the acceptance criteria of the DCAM framework and relevant templates; maintain templates and track progress against the implementation plan.
Prepare weekly and milestone reports, follow up on assigned tasks, and maintain a central status board.
Support newsletters, intranet updates, and communication campaigns for Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives, and develop data literacy materials (quick guides, FAQs).
Key Requirements
DCAM certification (EDM Council) is absolutely required.
Solid understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality concepts.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and writing skills; comfortable working with business users unfamiliar with DG/DQ.
Well organised, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently on a part-time schedule.
Nice to Have
Experience with other Data Management frameworks (e.g. DAMA-DMBOK) or prior Data Governance programme implementation.
