Data Governance & Personal Data Protection, Expert Consultant

Master Works is seeking a Data Governance & Personal Data Protection, Expert Consultant to support the implementation of data governance and personal data protection practices by ensuring data quality, regulatory compliance, and the secure management of organizational and personal data in alignment with approved policies and standards.

The Data Governance & Personal Data Protection will work closely with business and technical teams to establish governance frameworks, ensure compliance with personal data protection regulations, manage data-related risks, and promote best practices for data governance and privacy across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data governance and privacy policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with personal data protection regulations and organizational governance requirements.
  • Conduct data classification activities and privacy impact assessments.
  • Monitor data quality, security controls, and governance practices across the organization.
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, and awareness initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to identify, assess, and mitigate data-related risks.
  • Promote awareness of data governance and privacy requirements through training and communication activities.
  • Prepare governance, compliance, and privacy reports and related documentation.
  • Provide expert consultation and guidance on data governance and personal data protection best practices.
  • Lead governance and privacy initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
  • Lead a team and delegate responsibilities to ensure effective execution of governance and privacy activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Privacy, or related disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations, privacy requirements, and data governance frameworks.
  • Experience implementing governance controls, compliance programs, and privacy management practices.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
  • Professional certifications in Data Governance, Data Privacy, or Information Security.
  • Experience working in regulated or government environments.
  • Familiarity with data quality management, information security, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting enterprise governance and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Arabic: Native
  • English: Fluent
