Job Description

We are looking for an experienced professional to support a group-wide HR Data Governance project within Deutsche Telekom.

In this role, you will help improve HR data quality, establish effective governance processes, and turn strategic concepts into practical solutions. You will work closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders while coordinating your own project workstreams.

HR Data Quality and Governance

  • Translate data quality frameworks into practical rules, processes, responsibilities and measures.
  • Coordinate the implementation of data quality standards with business units and system owners.
  • Identify, prioritise and track data quality issues and corrective actions.
  • Adapt group-wide governance principles to different organisational structures and systems.
  • Collaborate with Data Owners, Data Stewards, HR, IT and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare concepts, decision papers and status updates for the project lead.
  • Turn lessons learned from pilots into repeatable standards and processes.

Project Coordination and Delivery

  • Manage complex sub-projects and workstreams, ensuring clear scope, responsibilities and deliverables.
  • Plan and coordinate project activities, timelines, resources and budgets.
  • Provide functional guidance to project team members and ensure effective stakeholder communication.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
  • Support project reporting, decision-making and continuous process improvement.
  • Data quality or Data Governance experience: Has contributed to defining or improving data standards, quality rules, responsibilities or governance processes.
  • Ability to put concepts into practice: Can explain how high-level requirements become operational roles, processes, controls, metrics and actions.
  • Experience in complex organisations: Has worked across multiple functions, entities or decentralised units and can navigate differing needs and levels of maturity.
  • Ability to manage project work: Can structure and coordinate a project or sub-project, clarify responsibilities, track progress and provide reliable updates.
  • Cross-system perspective: Understands that data is created, maintained and used across multiple processes and systems. Deep technical expertise is not essential, but effective collaboration with IT and business teams is.
  • Stakeholder and communication skills: Can explain complex topics clearly, adapt communication to the audience and build alignment across different groups.
  • Structured delivery: Documents decisions and actions clearly, follows up on responsibilities and escalates issues when needed.
