Job Overview\: The Data Governance Specialist will work alongside Data and IT to support OPI’s access to secure and effective information. This position works closely with key IT staff to support the day-to-day operation and integrity of relevant systems, ensuring systems adhere to applicable standards and policies.
The incumbent supports implementation and coordination of data governance activities for OPI. This position provides operational support for policies, processes, workflows, and process improvements related to data governance and reporting. The position assists with ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and integrity relative to data collection and utility and prepares written communication, training materials, and technical presentations.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Behaviors)\:
· Knowledge of data governance systems, processes, policies, and procedures.
· Knowledge of technology used to capture and validate data collection.
· Skilled in managing priorities, problem-solving, and analytics.
· Skilled in definition and development of processes; process measurements and continuous process improvement, including process mapping and value stream mapping.
· Ability to maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders.
· Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
