Data Governance Specialist, Financial Institution

Our client is a leading Financial Institution. Due to business needs, they are seeking the Data Governance Specialist in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and continuous refinement of the Enterprise Data

  Governance Framework, standards, and controls, particularly for unstructured data

  management.

• Assist in the design and optimisation of tools and technology for implementing data governance,

  including metadata management, data access workflow, auto-classification and tagging, and

  data quality management.

• Support the adoption of unstructured data governance practices, including establishing

  ontology and managing taxonomy, and driving organisation-wide data tagging to enhance

  discoverability and AI readiness.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in relevant discipline

• Over 4 years of data management and data governance experience

• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, profiling, and analysis

• Experience in developing scripts or automation workflows to support data tagging,

  classification, metadata enrichment, or governance controls

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Fluent in Chinese and English
