# Data Head / Data Analytics Leader ## Company Overview It is a skin care brand based in Pune,. The Data Head / Data Analytics Leader will strategically manage and scale the data analytics function across the business. This role combines technical expertise with strategic oversight, leading a central data team to foster data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a tech-driven background and prior experience in a direct-to-consumer (D2C), marketplace, e-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), or product-based environment. ## Responsibilities - **Data & Analytics Leadership** - Own and lead the central data analytics function across the organization, covering business functions such as operations, marketing, finance, sales, supply chain, and customer analytics. - Translate business problems into data-driven frameworks, insights, and strategic recommendations. - Partner with leadership to drive data-backed decision-making across the organization. - **Technical Execution** - Work hands-on with large datasets using SQL, Python, and Advanced Excel for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. - Design and implement scalable dashboards and reporting systems using business intelligence (BI) tools. - Integrate and analyze data from ERP systems and marketing platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads, etc.). - Build automated data pipelines and streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. - **Strategy & Business Impact** - Define and track key business KPIs across marketing, sales, and operations (Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Investment (ROI), inventory turns, productivity, etc.). - Generate actionable insights to improve campaign performance, operational efficiency, and revenue growth. - Identify business gaps, trends, and optimization opportunities through deep data analysis. - **System Implementation & Process Building** - Lead the implementation and optimization of data systems, tools, and reporting frameworks. - Establish data governance, validation mechanisms, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for analytics. - Drive automation and reduce manual dependencies across reporting workflows. - **Team Building & Mentorship** - Build, mentor, and scale a team of data analysts/MIS professionals. - Set performance benchmarks and ensure high-quality, timely delivery of insights. - Foster a culture of data-driven thinking across teams. - **Stakeholder Management** - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Leadership. - Present insights through clear, visually compelling dashboards and presentations to senior stakeholders. ## Qualifications - **Experience:** - 8+ years in Data Analytics / Business Analytics / Data Science / Data Engineering leadership roles. - Min. 2 years of prior experience heading or owning a central / enterprise-wide data team. - Min. 2 years in a D2C brand, marketplace, e-commerce, FMCG, or consumer/product-led company. - **Qualifications:** - B.E / B. Tech (mandatory) with MBA (preferred). ## Preferred Skills - Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and Advanced Excel. - Hands-on experience with ERP systems and marketing platforms (Meta, Google, etc.). - Experience with BI tools such as Power BI / Tableau. - Ability to manage and analyze large, complex datasets on Microsoft Excel. ## Experience - 8+ years in related data leadership roles, with a focus on central enterprise-wide data teams ideally in D2C or product-focused businesses. ## Environment This position will be based in Pune. The role may involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, necessitating meetings and presentations in a dynamic work environment.
