What you'll be doing
This is an opportunity to influence how information is managed and used across a complex, global organisation. You’ll help ensure NZTE’s information and data are trusted, easy to find, well-managed and used to support better decisions, efficiency and customer outcomes.
Working across business and digital teams, you’ll translate needs into practical information, data management and technology solutions.

Lead strong data and information practices, governance and stewardship to improve coordination, collaboration, decision making, and emerging AI capabilities.

Leverage our technical infrastructure to support data and information governance, including master data management, metadata, information architecture, and lifecycle management.

Partner with teams to understand challenges, identify opportunities and translate needs into practical solutions.

Advise on organising, governing, retaining, finding and using information and digital assets, while supporting and promoting regulatory compliance.

Identify organisational usage trends, risks and opportunities, with practical recommendations for improvement.

Support change by helping teams adopt improved processes, practices and ways of working.
This role suits someone who enjoys bringing structure to complexity, influencing change and creating practical solutions that make work easier for others.
What you'll need to be successful

Experience in information management, data management, data governance, knowledge management, business analysis or a related field.

Strong advisory and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across business and technical teams.

A sound understanding of the Public Records Act, information lifecycle management, and data maturity frameworks.

Experience improving the quality, accessibility and discoverability of information.

Strong problem-solving and business analysis skills, including requirements gathering and practical solution design.

The ability to translate complex concepts into clear, practical advice that delivers business value.

Practical experience with SharePoint, Microsoft 365 or comparable platforms for managing content and information.
