You will be:
- Defining and owning the programme's data and integration architecture, including canonical data models and enterprise integration patterns.
- Designing API-first, event-driven, and message-based integration solutions across multiple workstreams.
- Producing and governing Interface Control Documents (ICDs), API specifications, and integration standards.
- Designing scalable data platform architectures covering ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers.
- Establishing data governance, classification, lineage, quality, and master data management standards.
- Ensuring data sovereignty and residency requirements are embedded into architectural designs.
- Participating in Architecture Review Boards and providing architectural assurance for data and integration decisions.
- Collaborating with third-party defence contractors and system integrators to ensure interoperability and compliance.
Your profile:
- 7–12 years of experience in data or integration architecture on enterprise-scale or government programmes.
- Experience delivering complex integration solutions across regulated, government, or defence environments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration platforms including MuleSoft, IBM MQ, Kafka, Azure Service Bus, AWS EventBridge, or similar.
- Expertise in API design, governance, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, and API management platforms.
- Experience designing modern data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehouses.
- Strong understanding of master data management, data governance, data classification, and lineage.
- Experience producing architecture artefacts including ICDs, canonical data models, API specifications, and data flow diagrams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with defence data exchange standards such as STANAG, NIEM, or MIL-STD.
- Experience with Saudi NDMO data governance policies or GCC data localisation regulations.
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or real-time streaming platforms in secure environments.
- Understanding of FAIR data principles.
- GCC or KSA government programme experience.
- Security clearance eligibility (SC or equivalent).
- AWS Certified Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer Associate, Google Professional Data Engineer, MuleSoft Integration Architect, or TOGAF certification.
