Data Manager

Discussion

At NNZ, reliable data is becoming increasingly important for how we work, make decisions and serve our customers across 18 countries. As our Data Manager, you will help build one reliable and well-structured data foundation for NNZ. Together with Innovadis, we are implementing a central PIM solution and professionalising the way we manage and use data across our international organisation.

Your initial focus will be on product and item data. You will help ensure that this data is complete, accurate and logically structured, while playing an important role in the transition from our current ERP-based data management to the new PIM environment. Your work is hands-on and varied.

You will be involved in areas such as:
  • improving the process for creating, enriching, reviewing and releasing items;
  • developing product hierarchies, classifications, attributes and definitions;
  • analysing data, identifying inconsistencies and solving the root causes of data issues;
  • developing practical rules, checks and standards to improve data quality;
  • helping define clear data ownership and responsibilities;
  • supporting reliable data exchange between PIM, ERP and other systems;
  • identifying where data and standards can be harmonised internationally;
  • making data quality and progress transparent through KPIs and reporting.
You will work closely with colleagues from Sales, Procurement, Supply Chain, QHSE and other disciplines across NNZ. As our approach to data management develops, your scope may expand into other areas such as customer, supplier and sales data.

We are looking for someone who is analytical, accurate and structured and enjoys working hands-on with data and systems. You like to investigate how things work, recognise patterns and inconsistencies and translate your findings into practical improvements. You work independently, take ownership and enjoy building expertise in your field.

Experience with or a strong interest in product data, master data, ERP, PIM, data modelling, data governance or process improvement is helpful. You do not need to be an expert in every area from day one. Curiosity, analytical thinking and the ability to quickly understand complex topics are just as important.

And importantly: where you are currently based within NNZ is not the deciding factor. What matters most is your motivation, potential and interest in developing yourself further in data management.

This is an opportunity to take your next step within NNZ and help shape an increasingly important area within our organisation.

You will get:
  • a broad role combining hands-on data work, systems and process improvement;
  • an active role in the implementation of our new PIM solution;
  • exposure to different functions and colleagues across 18 countries;
  • the opportunity to become the go-to expert for product data within NNZ;
  • room to help shape how data management develops across our organisation.
