Data & Methods Analyst

About the Position: This position is located within Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Department of Quality/Patient Safety at Bethesda, Maryland. Working collaboratively with the patient safety team to advance efforts aimed at reducing harm to our patients. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Perform as Data and Methods Analyst within the Patient Safety (PS) Team under the Chief of Patient Safety, Quality Directorate.

Develop and manage database applications and system reports to retrieve patient safety data, track and analyze metrics, and produce statistical reports supporting the PS mission.

Develop comprehensive methods or procedures to determine and measure the reliability, accuracy, and validity of PS data.

Develop and formulates studies, summaries, and substantive analysis, utilizing various source data collection systems.

Develop graphic presentations of statistical data, as well as composite material involving the measurement of PS data for briefings, publications, and various reports.

Interface with Patient Safety (PS) and Military Treatment Facilities (MTF) personnel to improve the uniformity and standardization of reporting systems and results format.
