Data Modeling Developer

Job Description :

We are looking for a hands-on Data Modeler Developer with strong expertise in data modelling, SQL, data warehousing, and cloud data platforms. The ideal candidate should have practical experience designing and implementing scalable data models to support enterprise applications, data engineering, and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

• Data Modelling: Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and application requirements.
• Database Development: Develop and maintain database structures using SQL, relational databases, normalization techniques, and database design principles.
• Data Warehousing: Design and develop fact and dimension tables, Star and Snowflake schemas, and dimensional data models for enterprise data warehouses and analytics.
• Technical Implementation: Collaborate with Data Engineers and Developers to translate data models into scalable implementations using Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, or SQL-based platforms.
• Data Governance: Maintain data dictionaries, metadata, naming conventions, entity relationships, and data quality rules.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data models, queries, and database structures for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to ensure data models align with business requirements and downstream reporting and analytics needs.

Required Skills :

• Strong hands-on experience in Data Modelling and Database Development.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modelling, fact and dimension tables, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
• Knowledge of database normalization and data design principles.
• Experience with data warehousing and enterprise analytics solutions.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Azure, Databricks, or Snowflake.
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, data dictionaries, and data quality.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Hands-on technical developer with practical experience in data modelling, SQL, and data warehousing.
• Experience implementing data models on modern cloud data platforms.
• Ability to work closely with Data Engineers and Developers.
• Candidates with strong development experience are preferred over purely functional or data-architecture-focused profiles.
