Data Operations Administrator

Department: Data Operations & Adoption, DD&IT

Reports to: Head of Data Operations

Job Function Summary

The operations administrator is responsible for managing daily operational BI processes and is professionally accountable for the work and decisions made by the operations team. This team oversees system monitoring and configuration, ensuring timely delivery of incoming requests and incidents. The operations manager collaborates closely with the data architect and development team to prevent operational issues.

The operations manager also participates in proof of concepts for new solutions or technologies.

Main Responsibilities

Core duties include:

• Request & Incident handling

• Incident management with external vendors

• Job scheduling & monitoring

• Deployment execution process

• Documentation of BI IT landscape

Key Objectives/Deliverables

• Daily overview of job execution

• Daily prioritization of operational activities

• Daily updates on operation status to BI team

• Weekly deployments

• System monitoring

Key Requirements

• 0-3 years of experience in a large enterprise BI setup

• 0-3 years of experience in BI operations or IT support

• Knowledge of Data Warehousing and related technologies

• Knowledge of database technologies

• MUST HAVE: Knowledge of Data Lakehouse, Databricks, and Power BI

Nice to Have

• Understanding of database technologies

• Understanding of ETL processes

• Understanding of data warehouse and business intelligence design principles

• Understanding of network and firewalls

Other Details

This role may require availability during odd hours and some weekend work due to operational needs. The engagement starts on 01.11.26 and continues for 2 years, with the potential for continued collaboration. The location is Porto, working from the designated office.
