Data Platform Engineer

As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will help build and evolve a scalable data platform that powers analytics, CRM, reporting and personalization across MONY Group. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure data is secure, reliable and accessible for decision‑making, leveraging AI-assisted engineering where applicable. You’ll improve automation, observability and developer experience while reducing toil for data teams. This role offers the chance to shape how data platforms enable business growth and smarter customer experiences.

• Design and operate the data platform using infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform)
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines and platform tooling to enable self‑service while maintaining safety
• Collaborate with security, compliance and data protection teams to reduce risk
• Build robust, scalable data solutions for CRM, SEO, reporting and personalization
• Improve monitoring, data quality checks and observability
• Identify repetitive tasks and create AI‑assisted or automated workflows
• Coach junior members and uphold engineering standards
• Stay current with AI tooling and assess adoption where it solves real problems
• Share learnings through docs, demos, pairing and knowledge sharing

• Strong software or data engineering fundamentals (production Python and SQL)
• Experience building, operating or improving cloud-based systems
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code, CI/CD, version control and automated testing
• Ability to reason about reliability, security, observability and operational support
• Experience communicating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Curiosity about AI‑assisted engineering and automation for delivery workflows
