Data Platform Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain a scalable data platform using Scala/Java/Python/Go, SQL, and cloud tools like AWS/GCP, collaborating with engineers and analysts.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the data platform
- Collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers
- Work in a collaborative, inclusive, and results-oriented culture
Requirements
- Proficiency in at least one language: Scala, Java, Python, or Go
- Strong SQL skills
- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and application scalability
- Experience with distributed processing frameworks
- Containerization experience with Docker or Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD (continuous integration, development, and testing)
- Workflow orchestration using Airflow, Luigi, DBT, or Dataform
- Experience with Cloud solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building data warehouse, data lake, or data lakehouse environments
- Experience building data platforms
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet)
- Experience with AWS or Google Cloud Platform
