Data Platform Engineer

You will design and implement ETL pipelines that process terabytes of data, build and optimize high-performance APIs for fast and reliable data retrieval, and architect scalable storage solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to turn raw data into actionable products, document architectures and APIs, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL pipelines capable of processing terabytes of data efficiently
• Develop and optimize APIs to support fast and reliable data retrieval, including exact and partial matches
• Architect and manage scalable storage solutions such as Bigtable, BigQuery, Elasticsearch, and other NoSQL/SQL systems
• Collaborate with teams to turn raw data into actionable products and drive insights
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including data science, product, and operations
• Document processes, architectures, and APIs
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence

Requirements

• Advanced English proficiency (C1)
• 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems, designing high-performance APIs, and processing large-scale datasets
• Hands-on experience with streaming pipelines using Apache Flink, Apache Beam, Airflow, or Apache Spark
• Expertise in Go, Python, or Java and strong foundation in SQL and NoSQL databases (Bigtable, BigQuery, DynamoDB)
• Proficiency with AWS or GCP infrastructure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
