The role blends people management with hands-on technical leadership across real-time and batch pipelines (Azure, Spark, Flink, Kubernetes, Airflow, Terraform) that power threat detection and security analytics.
As Data Platform Engineering Manager in the cyber data team, you lead the design and operation of a self-served security data platform. You manage a team of engineers to ensure reliable ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis for operational security, analytics, ML, and GenAI. The platform underpins the security detection strategy, serving multiple security teams. You drive technical decisions and foster scalable, secure data infrastructure that enables rapid insights and advanced analytics.

- Design, build and manage real-time, near real-time and batch data architectures supporting threat detection, incident response and reporting
- Implement and oversee automated data integration from multiple security sources into a security data lake, and manage data flow across raw, trusted, and curated layers
- Enforce data security standards and regulatory compliance across the platform
- Drive automation and DevOps practices to streamline deployment, configuration and management of data platform components
- Contribute to recruitment and development of cyber data team talent
- Provide reporting and insights to cyber security leadership and other senior stakeholders
- Manage relationships with internal and external service providers and teams
- Engineering Manager experience leading teams and data projects at scale
- Proficiency in Python or Java and SQL
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and big data tech (Spark, Flink)
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, CI/CD and Terraform
- Working knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks and orchestration tools (Airflow)
- Ability to hire, develop and retain cyber data platform talent
- Stakeholder-facing communication and ability to guide teams to outcomes
