Data Product Architect

Salary: Up to $180,000 base salary

Organisation and role:
My client, a well-respected public sector organisation, is seeking an experienced architect with data experience to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. The role centres design and cost modelling for a business case, with the possibility to extend in due course to deliver the work.

Duties for the role include, but are not limited to:
- Analysing the data environment for a significant system in the organisation
- Definition of conceptual and logical data models
- Identifying data and logic areas
- Ensuring data governance, security and privacy best practice
- Ad-hoc duties

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- Strong communication skills required - this person needs to be able to translate technical concepts, build strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders and take them on the journey
- Experience in conceptual and logical data modelling required
- Experience setting up the management of a data catalogue required
- Experience in a data governance platform required - Microsoft Purview is considered highly advantageous
- Cost modelling experience required
- Experience in Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory required
- This candidate should ideally have experience in a data engineering capacity from earlier in their career
