Enhance the user experience of data products as a Senior UX Designer with the Ontario Public Service. This role involves hands-on design work and engaging user research in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.
Your focus will be on creating user-centered designs for the Enterprise Data Product Practice and related portals. By leading user research and synthesis efforts, you'll craft compelling wireframes and prototypes that simplify complex information for diverse users. Close collaboration with product managers, developers, and data teams will be vital to ensure that UX is integral throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create effective and user-friendly interfaces for data portals
• Lead user research activities and synthesize findings into actionable designs
• Conduct workshops for usability testing and journey mapping
• Collaborate with agile teams to integrate UX processes
• Clearly articulate design decisions to stakeholders of varying expertise
Requirements:
• Proven experience in user-centered design practices
• Proficient in design software such as Figma and Adobe XD
• Strong understanding of accessibility in design
• Knowledge of Discovery Agile Beta Live product cycles
• Familiarity with Ontario government's design frameworks is a plus
