Data Programmer (Java / ETL, over $40K)

Salary: $30,000 – $45,000 per month

Key responsibilities:

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application incidents and production issues

• Liaise with business users to gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements

• Prepare System Analysis and Design (SA&D) documentation and related project deliverables

• Design, develop, test, and implement application programs and enhancements

• Conduct system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production deployment activities

• Perform change management, release management, and post-implementation support

• Review and evaluate contractors' technical proposals, system designs, and project deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards

• Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and support teams throughout the project lifecycle

• Provide on-call support and perform system maintenance outside normal office hours when required

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines

• At least 4 years proven experience in application development and support

• At least 3 years hands-on experience in Java application development, UNIX/Linux scripting, reporting tools and reporting solutions

• Hands-on experience in data warehouse technologies

• Solid experience in Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools and software packages

• Experience in system analysis, design, testing, deployment, and production support

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
