I-Ray IT Solutions is hiring a consultant to act as Data Protection Officer (Dataskyddsombud) on a long-term, part-time (30–60%) remote assignment in Sweden running from 2026 to 2030. The role independently monitors GDPR compliance, runs audits and risk-based reviews, supports DPIAs and transfer impact assessments, and advises on incidents and data processing agreements.

About the assignment
The role involves independent monitoring, review, reporting, and advisory work within data protection. You will support compliance with GDPR and other applicable data protection legislation and provide practical, risk-based recommendations.
Responsibilities
Monitor compliance with GDPR and relevant data protection legislation.
Conduct risk-based reviews, audits, and follow-ups.
Prepare reports on risks, observations, and recommendations.
Monitor regulatory developments and data protection practices.
Provide advice on data protection matters and new processing activities.
Support DPIAs and other privacy risk assessments.
Assess third-country transfers and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIA).
Review data processing agreements and related contractual matters.
Provide advice regarding personal data incidents and notification requirements.
Follow up previous recommendations and identify areas requiring further attention.
Requirements
Relevant education and current professional experience in data protection.
At least two relevant assignments within the last three years.
Strong knowledge of GDPR and applicable data protection legislation.
Experience with DPIA, TIA, data processing agreements, and privacy risk assessments.
Experience advising on personal data incidents.
Excellent Swedish communication skills, both written and spoken.
Independent, structured, analytical, and pedagogical working approach.
