MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Quality and Knowledge Manager to join our Enterprise Data, AI, and Automation team in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2-3 days a week onsite.
In this pivotal role, you will establish, scale, and govern MANTECH’s enterprise knowledge systems and data quality standards, ensuring that the data, documentation, and content powering our dashboards, reports, and AI tools such as Ask MANTECH, our internal knowledge AI chatbot powered by Moveworks, are accurate, current, and trustworthy.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and implement end-to-end data quality and data hygiene frameworks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality metrics (accuracy, completeness, freshness, and consistency) across all corporate data domains and Enterprise IT systems.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track data quality issues in a centralized issue log; partner with functional data owners to correct data in source systems and validate that fixes flow through the enterprise data warehouse to downstream dashboards and reports.
- Conduct regular data quality and content audits, identify root causes of data decay and knowledge silos, and partner with data engineering teams to automate quality checks and documentation workflows.
- Own the enterprise knowledge management system and documentation repositories, defining the authoritative source of truth for enterprise knowledge and ensuring content is accurate, searchable, and free of duplication.
- Establish and maintain a uniform framework that assigns a designated knowledge owner and point of contact to all enterprise content by functional area, including procedures for reassigning orphaned or unowned content.
- Monitor user feedback, diagnose the root cause of inaccurate or unhelpful answers, coordinate timely updates, clarifications, or archival with content owners, and advise on which repositories should be ingested so that every ingested source is actively managed.
- Evaluate, curate, and maintain knowledge sources for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures powering AI tools like Ask MANTECH, establishing continuous feedback loops to assess response accuracy and continuously refine source document quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) with 5+ years of experience in data quality management or IT knowledge management within an enterprise environment.
