Data Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Engineer with strong expertise in Databricks‑based data platforms and enterprise data quality platforms, preferably Ataccama. The ideal candidate will drive data quality initiatives across modern cloud data architectures, ensuring trusted, governed, and high‑quality data assets across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data quality solutions within Azure Databricks environment
  • integrating and operationalizing Ataccama (ONE platform) for data profiling, rule management, validation, monitoring, and issue remediation
  • developing and deploying data quality rules in Ataccama ONE and Ataccama IDE
  • implementing enterprise data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, uniqueness, integrity)
  • building and optimizing Delta Lake‑based data models supporting high‑quality, reliable analytics and reporting
  • configuring and managing Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB), workflows, and job orchestration for automated data validation pipelines
  • implementing end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines for Databricks solutions using Azure DevOps, including automated testing and Git integration
  • managing secure access and authentication mechanisms using Azure Key Vault, Service Principals and Managed Identities
  • collaborating closely with Data Engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of data quality initiatives
  • monitoring data quality KPIs, implement alerting mechanisms, and support root cause analysis for data incidents.

Qualifications

  • strong hands‑on experience with Azure cloud ecosystem, including:
    • Azure Key Vault
    • Service Principals
    • Managed Identities
    • Storage Accounts (ADLS Gen2)
    • Azure networking & infrastructure components
  • Delta Lake architecture
  • Databricks Workflows & Job orchestration
  • Unity Catalog
  • strong programming skills in:
    • Python / PySpark
    • SQL (advanced query optimization and data validation logic)
  • experience implementing modern data architectures (mainly Medallion architecture)
  • a solid understanding of data modeling best practices
  • proven experience with CI/CD processes, Azure Pipelines, and Git‑based version control strategies
  • experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • strong collaboration skills across cross‑functional teams (Product Owner, Chapter Lead, Scrum Master, Technical Product Manager)

Additional desirable qualifications

  • hands‑on experience with Ataccama ONE or similar Data Quality / Data Governance platforms (Informatica, Collibra, etc.).
